Bedspreads
Bedspreads are an easy and flexible way to bring colour and excitement to any room with a bed or any furniture around which you can loosely place/wrap fabric. Since bedspreads are made with beds in mind the sizes they are available in are determined by bed sizes. But at the end of the day they are designed swathes of stitched fabric so you can let your imagination run wild and use them to design your bed headboard (as suggested by interior stylist Anita Mackenzie), or give your ottoman a new look. You may, of course, decide to go traditional and use them as their name suggests, to spread on the bed!
We have a selection of bedspreads handmade in various parts of India. They are of various colours, designs, size, thickness and weight. As with most of the collections, these also represent crafts from across the country. If there is a handwoven or handmade bedcover that you would like in a certain Indian craft, do drop us a line… we would love to try and can make it happen.
Here is a size chart to help you decide on the correct bedspread size for you. Please note that the ‘hang’ of the bedspread around the mattress will depend on the thickness of the mattress.
