Our association with Paromita Banerjee, the founder and her brand, has been based on our shared belief in the beauty and sustainability of the handmade. She works almost exclusively with handloom fabric embracing its imperfections and creating a range of apparel, that is both practical for the warm climate and are easy to pair with a range of outfits. Paromita has also translated her unwavering love for handloom fabric to successful outings at fashion shows across India including Lakme, Wills and Amazon Fashion Weeks.

Kala Tarang has been delighted to host Paromita as part of our exhibitions and her sarees, jackets and other apparel have found many happy customers in Singapore. This has been a very challenging year but Paromita and her weavers have soldiered on in these difficult times and continued to create the beautiful handwoven sarees and other garments – her signature collections and some new ones!
